'World Building.'
It's use is the sign of a muddy mind. Or of a teen-aged face with pimples. What's yours? |

If you weren't a moderator, and if it wasn't forbidden, I'd have to describe this post as being [redacted].
But you are, it is, so I won't. |

I gave one of my big ones a while ago: "kill your darlings" (and its variations). So I think I might just generalise and say I detest:
'Rules for Writing' Talking about supposed rules at great length is the sign of someone excessively introspective and obsessive about the simple act of writing. ... Oh. ... Wait. ... That's me! |

Apparently, it's the most hated word in English. Who knew?

You mean like 'moist toast'?
Or 'moist feet'? I know: You mean a moist ebook reader damaged by rain because the owner has no cover? Last edited by Dr. Drib; 09-25-2017 at 12:25 PM. Reason: liked to like |

I was thinking more like a body part. But I don't think it's appropriate on a family friendly forum.

"A book so good you can't put it down."
Promotional smegma written by the author [pick just about any indie author], who probably works full-time in a Super Glue factory. |

Now Don, they are right. You don't want to put it down, you want to either delete it or throw it in the nearest round circular file.
