Organising my library
I hava a kindle PW and have books ive bought on amazon and hinders of epubs.

I have all of them on calibre, my query is on my PW its awfully cluttered and I'm not sure how to organise them so ones ive read, to read etc or even genres.

is this possible?

The best way to organize on your PW is to manually create collections and then manually move the eBooks to the various collections.

Unless you are jailbroken, you have to do collections manually on the Kindle.

It's much more convenient on the Kindle account website. You can add books/docs to multiple collections etc.

I consider things on my devices as a chaotic 'too read' pile. Only omnibus collections stay there, everything else gets deleted/archived to pc after it's read/abandoned.

Calibre can format the title on the device to show series name. All my books in my Kindle show as "series#-Title"

I loaded all books into calibre, and edited all metadata to make it easy for me with vision problems ie Eve Dallas 58 Random in Death (2024) as no large font in the menu. Create folders for each author. I placed over 1000 books on my Kindle in their collections. to get that horrible update that removed the option of text details and ruined so so so many hours of work. Just because they are now forcing book covers as the only option. Making it a nightmare for me to choose a book at a glance. I now need to do a manual search via title. My whinge for the day, even tho this happened many many moons ago, it still gets me all annoyed. Turning off the whinge
