Linux installer question
Hi,
to install/update calibre I use the python line from the webpage: sudo python -c "import urllib2; exec urllib2.urlopen('http://status.calibre-ebook.com/linux_installer').read(); main()" It always asks where to install calibre. Is there some environment variable I can set or some parameter I can give it, to stop asking? It didn't look like it in the linux_installer file... Why do I ask? I installed calibre to /opt. When I updated today I almost typed rubbish in the path request, as I thought a different window was active. Thanks Sven |

You should be able to write a small wrapper script using expect to launch the installer and feed it the path.
man expect |

Thank you very much!
Not just for this question, but for calibre in general! It is truly an incredible product. |
