Cather, Willa: O Pioneers!. V1. 20 Nov 2008

Willa Sibert Cather (December 7, 1873 – April 24, 1947)
was an American author who grew up in Nebraska. She is best
known for her depictions of frontier life on the Great Plains
in novels such as O Pioneers!, My Ántonia, and The
Song of the Lark.

Cather received both national and state honors. In 1973,
the United States Postal Service honored Willa Cather by
using her image on a postage stamp. In 1981 the US Mint
created the Willa Cather medallion, a half-ounce gold coin.

Cather was elected to the Nebraska Hall of Fame. In 1986,
Cather was inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.
Her alma mater, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, named residence halls
after both Cather and her college friend Louise Pound.
Pound had a lifelong career as professor of English at the
university and was the first woman president of the Modern
Language Association.

Wikipedia

O Pioneers! tells the story of the Bergsons, a family of Swedish immigrants
in the farm country near the fictional town of Hanover, Nebraska, at the turn
of the 20th century. The main character, Alexandra Bergson, inherits the family
farmland when her father dies, and she devotes her life to making the farm a
viable enterprise at a time when other immigrant families are giving up and
leaving the prairie. The novel is also concerned with two romantic
relationships - one between Alexandra and family friend Carl Linstrum,
and another between Alexandra's brother Emil and the married Marie Shabata.

nice cover

a question, if you don't mind, why did you do this book? do you love it? did it change your world? is it one that you can't live without?was madam broshkina's version so bad that it had to be done again?

i thought her version was great, easy to read and available in multiple versions, you only add mobipocket versions of books others have already done

sure the covers are new so why post only stuff that we already have when there is so much never posted yet? why post another version of something we already have without adding anything new? why post only once version when there are many posting lots of formats, like patricia?

some of the others are a pleasure to read, proper quotes and em dashes, here all dashes are short hyphens, this is publishing and typesetting man, not a typewriter manuscript, use the tools you have to make better books, not poor copies of something someone else has already done better

don't get me wrong, i love to read and read stuff i've never read before, i just can;t understand why you are spending your time doing poor copies with great covers of stuff that has already been done better before by others

i love giving karma and doughnuts, i like doughnuts, i can't do it here, i want to give you karma and doughnuts, i want you to post more books here, post more books in more formats here,

add something to the books, if i want a "automatic" translation i can get it from manybooks, you have better covers

i don't mean to sound harsh, i hate to see so much effort put into something already done, explore new fields, introduce new writers, give us something we've never seen before and give it to us in multiple formats so all of us can enjoy it
