Pocketbook Lux: 8" colour ereader demonstrated

Pocketbook has finally shown off it's new colour eReader, the Color Lux.

Google translate of Russian article.

The Digital Reader's report on the announcement

The Lux will have an 8" colour display, but only 800x600. That's 125dpi. this is because the Triton screen does colour with a colour filter overlay, halving the resolution of the underlying black and white display.

The addition of a front light might make the colour display bright enough at last.

There's been no timetable given for a European or US launch. The Russian retail price is equivalent to about $320/£210/€245

Further discussion is in this thread.
