Booklery from Firmware ?
Good Day,
I know I can download Bookerly here , but this is not the same version as on the newest Firmware. The official font in version 1.0.10 contains version 1.0.0 as "LCD" font, version 1.0.2 is the same as in 1.0.10 but with less glyphs. I do own a Kindle, so I renamed all fonts and compared them on device. The internal font is distinctivly different from the web download |

You need to find a version of the Kindle firmware prior ro when Amazon dropping hinting for Bookerly and extract that.

Download the OTA firmware update from Amazon's website.
Download kindletool from the Open Sesame thread. Use kindletool to unpack the OTA firmware update file from Amazon. Iirc, the fonts were in a sqsh file. On Windows, I used 7-zip to extract them. |

My procedure is to download the firmware file, rename it to kindle.bin and copy it into my kindletool directory where I already have a directory called unpack. I open a command prompt on that directory and enter: KindleTool extract kindle.bin ..\unpack\ on the command line. After KindleTool has finished, you should find several files and a directory in the unpack directory. Open rootfs.img.gz with 7Zip, dig down to fwo_rootfs.img/usr/java/lib where you should see fonts.sqsh. Open the fonts.sqsh file. You should see all the fonts listed.
