Originally a poem, then adapted as the well-known mariner's hymn. I have included various other verses, added later to suit the different services who seek God's protection.

Recent audio recordings of the hymn, in its various permutations, may be copyrighted; however, I find no references to ongoing legal restrictions on use of the text.
