A Parody High Definition Television Commercial

For those of you who weren't around the Summer Of Love in Haight Ashbury, San Francisco, one of the highest (wink) ranking bands of the time and place was The Jefferson Airplane. Since one of the members was a dedicated Marxist, they wrote a revolutionary song. Of course, with just a little play on words, it woudl have made a great advertisement song. It would have been great for HDTV, HD-DVD, or Blu-Ray.....

So just turn on the theather of your mind, put on Jeferson Airplane's Volunteers from Woodstock, and enjoy! (Up the resolution!)

(Female voice, shouting at a crowd) WAKE UP PEOPLE, IT'S A BOLD NEW DAY!

(Low rez image)
Hey everbody, come out and see
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

(Medium rez image)
A great new view for you and me,
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

(High rez image)
A clear new picture for all to see,
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

Down with the picture that are old,
Up with the pictures that are bold.

See all the picture, feel all the picture, ooh!

(Low rez image)
And now it's time for you to see,
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

(Medium rez image)
A grand new picture that's beyond belief,
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

(High rez image)
Take it home and join the team,
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

Seein' clear in America,
Seein' clear in America!

Seein' clear in America,
Seein clear in America!

(Got the resolution!)

(Low rez image)
Hey everbody, come dance and sing,
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

(Medium rez image)
An amazing thing for all to see,
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

(High rez image)
A bright new age for you and me,
Raise the resolution!
Up the resolution!

Seein' clear in America,
(Ooooh!)
Seein' clear in America!
(Ooooh!)

Seein' clear in America,
Seein' clear in America!
Seein' clear in America,
Seein' clear in America!
(Ooooh!)

(Got the resolution!)

(Final pitch line, spoken by an announcer)
This new resolution is brought to you by <blank>,
raising the resolution across the globe.
