Reusing original install folder?
I recently updated my Calibre installation, and was mildly surprised to find that the installer seemed to want to install the new version in the default location (which is not the location I originally specified). Shouldn't the installer know where the old installation is and default to overwriting that location?

Calibre has traditionally always reverted to default settings whenever you ran an update.
The facility to remember previous install settings has JUST been added to the Windows installer, so in future it should use them as the new defaults. |
