Note Pro on Android 9, stuck on firmware 3.1

Hi! I recently got a second-hand Note Pro since my friend switched to something else. I updated it to Android 9 so it would run some newer apps and upgraded the firmware from 3.0 to 3.1 yesterday. Currently on Build Number 2021-05-20_10-53_3.1_f1d2ad8. I'm pretty sure there's a newer firmware floating around, but my device says "This is already the latest version."

The Note Pro 3.2 firmware from the Boox website only works for the Android 6 version I think. I attempted to use it and it said the package was damaged.

Could anyone help me get it to update? The help pages on the Boox website mentioned something about updates rolling out in batches, but I don't think 3.2 is all that new? I made some notes with tags on firmware 3.2 before I upgraded the Android version and would like the ability to do that again.

I guess that that Android 9 track is a dead end?

I'm only seeing the Android 6 stuff:

I really hope that's not the case! My understanding is that at least one person got the 3.2 firmware for Android 9 back in 2022:

Thanks, I've installed the firmware from the link just in case, but it is the same one as I had before. Still, it's good that I have a copy of it saved so I can go back to it.

I'll keep looking around and try to get the order number from when my friend bought the tablet originally, so maybe Boox support can dig up the updated firmware from wherever they put it. The Feedback function on the device itself fails to send.

Yes, I made a post to their Note series community board a few days ago, but it's still "Post is pending approval". Official Boox support on their messageboard looks pretty sparse. I think their last post was about 24 days ago.

Just an update on this in case it helps anyone else:

1. My post on the Boox messageboard got stuck because I put a link in it. It posted after I deleted and tried again without any links. No reply, nor do I expect one.
   
2. My friend provided me with their invoice number from when they bought the Note Pro so I could contact Boox support directly. Boox says firmware 3.2 is not available for Android 9, even after I provided a link from 2 years ago of them, on their messageboard, saying it was in the process of going out to Note Pro Android 9 devices.
   
3. Boox says if you want firmware 3.3.2, then downgrade to Android 6. They provided me with instructions and a link to the required files.

So if anyone wants to upgrade their Note Pro to Android 9, be aware that firmware 3.1 is officially the end of the road.

Yup. So it's like we figured.

Android 15 is here and I really can't think of what I need over Android 10.
I would say Android 7, but there's probably some difference between 7 and 10 that I use and don't notice.

It seems to be mostly restriction and silly things.
For instance, I don't see what the matter with just giving apps a square field to do their icon as they wish.
If they want it round or 7-sided, just use that portion.
