SPR Firmware Versions
There is a major disconnect between the published specs of 64 MB internal memory and the 91.9 MB of internal memory that my Reader came with. Also I think I read where bookmarks did not work properly in the memory expansion slot and yet mine does. Collections still does not work in the memory expansion slot.
OK, I picked up my Reader from Boarders in early November and the firmware is Version 1.0.00.21081. (This is found on the top line of Settings | About.) I wonder if there are multiple versions of the firmware out there. |

The total size of installed flash memory is 128MB. The size of the user's data partition is 91.875MB.

My firmware is Version 1.0.00.21081 too, and I have a pretty low serial number (0000129), I'd think if there were more than one version, it would be different from the later ones.
The bookmarks work fine on SD/Memory Stick. For MMC cards (which aren't officially supported), they work as long as you don't remove the card from the Reader -- if you do, they wipe. Don't know why. We're hoping that collections on cards will be in a firmware update. @igorsk: thanks for a hard number on the memory. |

The internal store of 91.9MB is likely to be shared, the 30 something MB is probably used by the OS.

That actually makes sense -- it probably doesn't store the current position on the card, but just holds it in 'ram.'
