I've discovered something weird!
My ebook likes to collect pennies!
I put it down on the desk, picked it back up and a penny was stuck to the back of it. It came away but the magnetic pull was quite strong there! Just in the top right corner it is magnetic, why?? |

Does that happen to be where the magnet that closes the cover is?

Interesting, in the US a penny is copper based and not magnetic. (Except for some made
durring WWII) Luck; Ken |

Your ebook is working actively to save you money! They mention that in the ads...

Pity the ereader doesn't mysteriously pick up recent bestsellers when no one is looking!

Yep. US pennies have had nothing but copper plating for almost 30 years.

They all pick up 100 dollar bills. Just lay it on top of any unowned C-note you happen to find lying around.
It helps if the back of the reader is wet. Last edited by BenG; 10-14-2010 at 12:29 PM. |

To answer the original poster's question, however: all Sony Readers have a magnet at the top and bottom; it's used by the Sony covers to hold them shut. Last edited by HarryT; 10-14-2010 at 12:44 PM. |
