Overdrive book due dates out of sync

Upon opening my Kobo Clara HD today, my library books from Overdrive are all expired, according to my Kobo ereader, but on my library website, they are unexpired, with the closest one to expiring being 8 days from now. Any idea why this is happening? How can I get them back in sync? I tried rechecking it out on the Kobo, but it won't let me. Very strange.

Have you checked the date and time on the device?

After that do another sync and see what happens.

Yep, Date and Time are exactly what they should be. I already tried syncing. And powering it off and back on.

And my other Kobo, a Kobo Glo HD, has them unexpired, so I'm at least able to read them on there. But would prefer to read them on the Clara. Very odd.

Odd. You can try the "Repair your Kobo account" that is on the Device information page of the settings. That is intended for situations like this. It should redownload the book details and where necessary, the book.

That didn't work. I'm probably going to switch back to Kindle for my Overdrive books, I guess.

I had a problem with my account (errors downloading some of my books on all my devices: computer, ereader and tablet). Kobo customer service had me repair my account using the Kobo app on my tablet. At first, the repair didn't seem to work, but then they told me to sign out of my account and sign back. At that point, everything worked fine. You could try that, if you didn't already.

Thank you both for the information in this thread! I had the same problem too on my Aura One. I don't know when it started, but I can say I first noticed it on May 7th and have been too busy to investigate until now.

I can confirm that the repair function did not work for me too. Also, it could not be solved by logging in/out of Overdrive. I had to log in/out of my Kobo account to fix it. Totally annoying!

This didn't work for me on the Clara (or my partner having the same issue on an Aura One). I get 95% of my books from OverDrive so this is a pretty big deal for me... some books aren't transferring to the Kobo at all and some are just not synced correctly with regard to the dates.
Anyone else having this problem, or have a fix? (latest firmware seems to be installed 4.15.12920)

For your problem with some books not transferring, I'd suggest checking the ISBN on the library copy compared to the ISBN for the copy shown by Kobo's website. If they match, contact Kobo customer service, if they don't match, time for ADE and sideloading.
