$3.19 for US Kindle from amazon: Oasis by Bryce Beattie (Zombie fiction)
I'm still pretty new, so I'm not sure if $3.19 qualifies as a deal for this forum. It is 79% less than the paperback, so I figured it might be of interest here. However, if this doesn't belong here, Mods, then please feel free to remove this thread.
This is another Zombie book. It has received conflicting reviews, however. Looks like folks either love it or hate it. So preview the sample to see if it's right for you. Oasis by Bryce Beattie http://www.amazon.com/Oasis-ebook/dp...=AG56TWVU5XWC2 ~3.5 out of 5 stars, based on 15 reviews $3.19 (paperback is currently $14.99 at amazon) Editorial Reviews Review Corbin St. Laurent is a normal, everyday guy, just trying to get along. He's an overworked nurse in a small, desert town, facing all the typical problems workaday people face: an unforgiving and merciless boss, a heart of gold which longs to help his fellow man, and too little sleep. But all that changes for Corbin one night after getting off work and discovering a Red Cross flu shot trailer set up in the parking lot of the grocery store next door. At least, that's what it looked like. Corbin finds out, along with the rest of Oasis, in short order that this is NOT business as usual. Now, a deadly virus is running amok in Oasis, destroying all humanity in its path and spreading itself with perfect, horrifying efficiency -- by making its hosts walking carriers targeting the uninfected with the express intent of proliferating. [...] Product Description One night after a marathon shift in the emergency room, Corbin St. Laurent sees a Red Cross trailer offering free vaccinations. He quickly discovers something is terribly wrong, but it's too late. Terrorists have used the trailer as a front to inject dozens of people with a deadly virus that takes over the mind and controls the body. The next morning the power goes out and the the government quarantines the entire city. Corbin finds himself trapped in a city of no hope. Infected men and women roam the streets in mindless packs, seeking only to spread their infection. Being stuck in cramped quarters and extreme conditions, tempers flare and fear paralyzes the rational mind of all but the toughest of survivors. Corbin struggles to find safety evading the infected, finding refuge through sleepless nights, fighting exhaustion, fending off heat stroke, and coping with treachery and betrayal. It'll take everything Corbin's got just to survive the outbreak in Oasis. |

As far as I'm concerned, any information on Zombie books is a "Dismembered Two Thumbs Up."
Thank you! Don |
