How many books can you manage via Calibre?

Is there a maximum amount of e-books you can store via Calibre.
If you create a virtual library, can you manage more e-books via Calibre?

There are no arbitrary limits in Calibre as to the number of books it will handle. Your PC's specs, mostly RAM because the metadata database gets loaded into it on startup, and CPU is what sets the limits your PC will handle. Virtual libraries make no difference.
