.chm malware?

apologies if this is the wrong place to ask...

does anyone know if calibre is immune to this malware issue? http://www.hotforsecurity.com/blog/c...chm-11540.html

specifically on Mac OS X

thanks, and again sorry if I'm in the wrong forum.

Since the article discusses windows malware, it isn't relevant to OS X at all.

As for the general question, calibre's viewer does allow javascript, but it forwards all external URLs (outside the book) to the system browser. So unless your system browser is configured to autodownload and execute exe files, you should be safe. However, since the article is really light on details, there is no way to be sure.
