Editing .PDB?

Is it possible to go into a .pdb file to edit it? To remove extraneous text or links, for example?

pdb's are binary databases. See the wiki for details. The way to edit one is to use an application that understands the particular format that the datebase is in. For eBooks there are tools that will directly edit a database depending on which format it is in. You can also convert the database to another form and then edit it and convert it back.

As you can see the answer is very vague since there is no way for me to know what format a particular PDB file is in. After you read the wiki you will understand. Then check the wiki for tools for that particular database format.

The wiki is your friend.

Did you find any useful tool to edit the sunrise/plucker-pdbs? Would you share the name/link?
I tried a few of the linked ones, but they failed. Probably I'm just too stupid for this.
