Help exiting kindle managed device
Hello ,
I have a K paperwhite 10th generation . After I entered in demo mode using this commnad ";enter_demo " and then exit using ";exit_demo" . I can't reset or use wifi on the kindle . Can someone help me remove these restrictions . |

If you just want to exit the Demo mode, then enter ";uzb" (without quotes) in the search bar to enable USB storage mode. Connect the Kindle to a PC, then create an empty file named "DO_FACTORY_RESTORE" (without file extension) at the root of the Kindle storage. From PC, safety ejects the Kindle. Once this has been created, reboot the device.
Please be reminded that this process will wipe out the Kindle's data. Back up your sideloaded contents if you needed. |

Thank you for the help but it didn't work . I am not anymore in demo mode; I fixed this by exiting yestarday with ";exit_demo".
It doesn't let me reset or do a factory reset . Is there a special commnad to bring the kindle to his original mode .Or do I need to go with it in warranty. And if need what can I say to not void my device . I should also mention that I have : -version : 5.14.3.0.1 -Policy ID : demo |

I'm getting this problem too, currently waiting for a solution on Reddit and Quora.
Desperate times. For me, aeroplane mode, factory reset and web browser are unavailable even though I exited demo mode, and my Policy ID is set as "demo." |

Hi have you tried searching ;demo and selecting resell device?

According to https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=346037, the command ";exit_demo", doesn't bring you out of demo mode. You still can't access the All Settings option.
You should try do a factory reset to get out of demo mode as I mentioned earlier. |
