User preferences for the MobileRead website
Does this forum have anywhere for members to set preferences? I haven't been able to find anything related to how the webpages are rendered. Specifically, I was looking for a preference to enable "dark mode".
I have tried all the various dark modes that are built into Chrome/Chromium browser that I use, and unfortunately they all look horrible on MobileRead. I know some forums have their own built-in dark mode, accessible in user preferences, others do not. Does this website have that feature? There could be a whole webpage of settings somewhere that I just haven't found yet. |

There is no dark mode. We're still currently stuck with ancient forum software. All other settings available are in the user control panel (User CP).

Much the same as Sirtel, I use one of the Firefox force dark mode extensions the few times I want to see a web page forced to dark mode.

In the past I have tried the dark mode built-in stuff in the Chromium (and Chrome) browser I use. But MobileRead is butt-ugly with those dark modes. The dotted borders on the left and right of MobileReads main content center do not translate well (those dots are difficult to see in normal mode, but they really stick out in dark mode - at least in dark mode as implemented natively in Chrome.

I'm using Stylus and this single-line userstyle for MR:
PHP Code:
Userstyling Google is a pain, though. I couldn't get used to their dark theme, so from time to time I need to add some extra CSS to this increasingly messy style: Spoiler:
