what's coming in 2013?
Hello everyone,
I was thinking of buying an ereader like the m92 to study and read. The fact is that I'm not in a lot of hurry, and I would like to know if there's going to be a major improvement of the technology in 2013. I read some things about e-ink color coming soon (mirasol) and something about an ereader that you could slide up and down, which I'm not remembering the name but I know the company gave up on it (samsung, perhaps?). Anyhow, is anyone aware of what's coming soon, or do you think the m92/similar technology will stick for some time? Thank you |

A color e ink came out several months ago. I forgot what company did it. It was expensive. You can probably find it with a search here. EDIT: The Jetbook Color is the one I was thinking. Its the only current eink color I believe right now $500. Amazon has a full description of it and you can view videos of it at youtube. Cool but I wouldnt pay $500 for it.
I would just buy something now. I dont see the need to wait. The technology hasnt really improved that much. New readers are usually released late summer and fall. All the new kindles and sony have just been released and wont have new ones until late next year. I dont know about nook. Most ereaders are so inexpensive now theres really no reason to wait months and years before you purchase. Last edited by Tony1988; 09-20-2012 at 10:41 PM. |

Thanks for the reply, tony. I agree with you about paying such a sum for an ereader, the thing is that for the m92 one pays almost the same amount, so you can see my dillema.

With such a novel technology I personally would always skip out on 1. Generation products. And again, current readers are really cheap!
