Books Not Loading In Kindle From Calibre
I have Calibre 6.29. Unfortunately, that's the latest update my laptop can have since it's quite outdated. I tried downloading a few books in and it is not working. I have a Kindle Paperwhite that I had since 2017 and a part of me is worried that it is getting too old for its own good and that its age may be showing. What do I do here?
If this isn't the right place to put it here please tell me and help me move it. |

What format are the books? Kindles can't read epub, you need to convert to azw3.

Can you use the Send to Kindle website for your epub?

FYI to answer your questions I use mobi, and I use Calibre's send to device function. But still, all of this has convinced me that the Kindle may become too old for this stuff or Amazon is cooking something to make it harder to enjoy free ebooks. |

Don't use mobi, it's an old and outdated format, and can be buggy. Use AZW3.

Nothing has changed, the mobi format has been outdated for a while. AZW3 is newer, has better formatting, you can use custom fonts and the weight slider with it. Mobi is so old it doesn't support some features EPUB and AZW3 do, and I'm pretty sure it has more bugs, because it's ancient.

I do wish there's a way to mass convert all my ebooks from mobi to that format with ease now that you said it, but alas. |

But in the future don't convert to mobi (or download mobi when other formats are also offered). It's better to download epub and convert to azw3 rather than use mobi. |
