Creating Nook files for the Nook/Pub-It system
I have a post on my website about the best way to create an ePub for a book that's graphic-heavy, including comics and graphic novels:

Michael,
I have enjoyed your "In Maps and Legends" series on my NookColor. I appreciate you pushing this medium. I really wish more graphic novel publishers would get with it and release more of their stuff in epub or similar format. In my opinion, the nook color is the perfect platform for graphic novels. However, I have purchased several and it does seem hit or miss with regard to text legibility and overall ease of read. (I was able to read your series without issue) However, it would be nice if you could zoom-in on an epub on the device, but even then, if the images have crappy resolution, zooming doesn't really help. One other possible solution is that each frame becomes it's own pages (or several frames) as opposed to trying to show the whole page on a single epub page. Hopefully enough publishers will see a demand to push this. BTW the link you gave appears broken and I only got to your main page with it. I found your epub write-up here: http://michaeljasper.wordpress.com/2...ing/#more-4487 Thanks DG |

Thanks, DG! I appreciate you fixing the link!
Hopefully my tips will help more comics creators get their books into electronic format. And tell me about the need to zoom! |
