Fabled Atlantis: Discovered at Last?

BBC is reporting that recent satellite pictures may show the location of the fabled city of Atlantis, as described by Plato.

The scientist Dr Kuehne of the University of Wuppertal in Germany, thinks the "island" of Atlantis simply referred to a region of the southern Spanish coast destroyed by a flood between 800 BC and 500 BC.

...and I always believed that Atlantis as recounted by Plato in Timaeas and Critias is merely allegorical. OH well!
