I've already read similar things but read between the lines for a moment
1) school are rejecting kindle because they don't want to be sued on behalf of students that are unable to see. Otherwise that would be considered discrimination. But the IPad also falls under this 2) What exact advantage would a ipad have over a laptop? Schools have laptop programs... 3) The 2.5 update is hardly mentioned here. Folders can easily be down the line. the whole UI could easily change if there is a kindle touch screen 4) how exactly is ipad better for books and taking notes? since there's no detached keyboard it means it has to be flat when typing which creates an awkward situation of staring down in front of professors...your screen would not even be considered private at that point. |
