New version of DRM removal tools ("DeDRM")

As of 13th July, 2022:

The latest version of the tools is 10.0.3 from noDRM for calibre 6.x and 5.x (Python 3). It should also work with calibre 4.x and 3.x (Python 2).

Details are at https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools

If you have any problems with this version, ask at https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools/discussions, NOT here at MobileRead.

Spoiler:

The tools were originally written by many people, and were maintained by Apprentice Alf and Apprentice Harper until November 2021.

The latest version of the tools from the Apprentices is 7.2.1 for calibre 5.x

Details are at Apprentice Alf's blog and Apprentice Harper's github repository.

If you have any problems with this version, you should probably start using the version from noDRM

I never saw the problem on my Mac. It would be interesting to hear whether Alf's new version has fixed the problem for Windows users.

It seems to be fixed. I'm on Windows and just imported 13 books without any problem.

Thank you.

Downloadable from Apprentice Alf's blog as usual.
And it fixes that long standing typo in the OS X standalone tools.

I don't think the tools being upgraded changes personal settings. At least I've never noticed any plugin upgrade changing settings that I've made on my copy of Calibre.

Yes, it does. I just tested it with some DRMed ePub and it worked as it did before. The key I had in the Kindle section is still there.

Alas, it doesn't seem to work.
Edit: Never mind I figured out what I was doing wrong. I'm out of practice. lol.

Doesn't work at all? Or still can't de-DRM more than 5 books at a time?

It's usually best to first remove the old plugin, restart Calibre, and then reinstall the newest version. I've had problems in the past where installing over old versions didn't work at all, I always uninstall this plugin first now and it avoids the problem.
