Recently Opened no longer shows notebooks ?

I have an Elipsa 2e (on 4.38.23038) and a Libra Colour (on 4.39.23027)

It seems that in a recent firmware update, the ¨Recently Opened¨ menu (swiping down from the top, while a book is open) no longer shows notebooks. In the past I could use this menu to quickly switch between a textbook and a notebook.

Does anyone know how to bring back the older functionality, which included recently opened notebooks in the menu ?

Also, is there any way to show more than three items in the Recently Opened menu?

I suppose both of these requests would require some sort of patch to the firmware...

Strangely this has gone back to the previous (normal) behaviour now, on both my devices, after having annoyed me for several weeks. All i can guess is that there was something in my profile that was causing the issue.
