Angry Robot book conversion problem
I downloaded a book from Angry Robot (an ebook that strangely arrived as a .cbz file). But when I tried to convert it to Kindle via Calibre it was a no go:

that error indicates your cbz has no images in it. You need to contact angry robot.

Solution
After several more attempts and miss-fires, i have solved the problem. When downloding from Angry Robot I discovered my system was changing the files to a 'zip' which was causing the problem. So when i made the final attempt i chose to open the file and not to download/save as a zip, End of problem!
I dont believer Angry Robot adds drm to their books, in fact they mention Calibre as a program to convert them. I salute the companies that do not use drm, but i understand why some do - and i do not agree with disabling it without permission. |

Yep - we've discovered that (for some reason) some systems are either renaming the files as a .zip, or removing the extension altogether. It's something we're looking into. And yes - all of the eBooks bought from our online store are DRM-free.
Thanks for the purchase, and I hope (now you can open the file) you enjoy it! --- Lee Editor, Angry Robot |
