xml:lang empty (pdf to epub)
Hi,
I have been successfully converting file from pdf to epub. I have noticed that in the first xhtml file produced, I had an html tag with xml:lang="en" and in the following xhtml files, the xml:lang="" could be empty. Is there something I should do to have the language used on each xhtml file? Thank you for your advice. Regards François |

The first html file is the titlepage with the cover, which does not come from the PDF. The PDF file itself does not have any concept of language correspoding to the HTML language markup.

Thank you Kovid for your answer.
I thought the language was taken from the Calibre column and that I was doing something wrong. Regards François |

No that only sets the language in the metadata, not in the actual html, as doing so would not be correct. Think for example, of a book that could have multiple languages.
