How can I stop calibre reading and writting stuff from device whenever it's connected
I don't use Calibre to transfer books to Kindle and Pocketbook.
If I have Calibre opened, and one of my devices is connected to PC, Calibre does several jobs automatically. "Set library information", "Get list of books from device" and "Get device information". They're lengthy processes, and I have no need for them. If I remember to, I'll close Calibre before I connect my devices to PC, but it gives me migraines whenever I forget to do this, as it's not possible to cancel these tasks Btw, what does "Set library information" task even do? Show job details gives me no info. |

Go to preferences->plugins and disable the device interface plugins used by your devices.

Thanks, I will look into that. There is a lot of plugins there, should I disable all of them?
Any help regarding "Set library information"? |

I would recommend that you only disable the device plugins for the devices you have and connect to your computer.
