Red face Hello fellow eBook addicts...
Hello everyone, I just thought I would introduce myself. I'm not sure if I'll do a lot of posting as I'm the "strong, silent type" but I imagine I'll be perusing the forum quite a bit. I've been reading eBooks on my PC for ages and finally got fed up with the eye strain and shelled out some dough for an eReader. I spent weeks researching and going back and forth before finally settling on the Kindle 3 WiFi. It was a close call between this and the 6" Astak Ez Reader, but in the end the Kindle's superior screen (mainly the contrast) won out. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow so I haven't actually gotten to play with it yet, but hopefully I made the right choice

Anyway, I look forward to being a member of the board.

I actually ended up doing the same as you... went with the K3 due to superior screen... and the fact that it was running Linux and is hackable I'm also waiting for mine to be delivered.
