Those guys at Akihabara, Engadget, etc. got it all wrong... the SmartBook isn't a new device; there are at least two other identical devices, the Demolux dpad1 (second image) and Zupera Smartpad, which were both released one year ago.
The SmartBook is a rebranded device now sold by some Chinese company. Funny how many news pages picked up the story of the "new" device though |

Screw tablet PCs, this PDA style device is where its at. I'm not going to play Doom3 on the bus - throw an iPod style HD and a collapsable full-size/paper thin KB in this bad boy and I'd be set.
