Conversions with Table of Contents
Hello,
First visit to these forums, but all looks very helpful. I'm an author and I write and program my ebooks for Kindle (mobi) and iPad (ePub) and try to distribute through every seller. I have used MP Creator in the past, but Calibre looks far superior and... supported! What a concept! I program in Word with bookmarked links, both internal and external, then save as htm and use that to convert to mobi or ePub in Calibre. First time worked pretty well, but the Table of Contents came out with one entry per Kindle page, so somehow there are page breaks getting in there. I would love to learn how to do all my conversions seamlessly in Calibre. Any suggestions on how to educate myself more? After this comes dealing with ePub check for the iBook store - that looks more daunting. It would be nice if these distributors would invest in vertical integration for their product lines. Amazon seems to have already lost their first mover advantage. |
