lock book view & code view windows into synch
is this on the to-do list already ?
I'd like to be able to change view & not have to scroll the new window back or forward to where the previous view cursor was or in split view to have the windows scroll in synch - makes it easier to see the impact of any code change |

I second both of these suggestions. The jumping in split view drives me crazy and occasionally causes me to accidentally move or delete chunks of code or text when I forget that the cursor won't actually be where I click.

Although it would be nice, I think it is very hard to do with the framework in use. A small change could lead to great changes later in the document, so when you switch the document has to be 'recreated' in a fashion.

maybe the split view synch would be hard but the situation ( after find - replace processing) where code view defaults to top of file & book view defaults to bottom of same file is crazy. esp as you can go click an earlier book view, then return to the annoying one & it will then have shifted its default back to top
