DIY iLiad Case - never again screen crash!

Hi

I found a nice case and with a little bit of foam rubber this is the absoulte bomb proof iLiad case.

You can get the case here.

Avoid screen crashes in your bag! I have bad experience.

It looks like a drilling machine case. Maybe you should print a manufacturer's logo of these things on your case to pimp the camouflage even more. I think it could be a nice eye catcher in the library. ;-)

I fear they wouldn't let me in my library with this case.."Yeah, we know and when you go out, you'll have a book in that thing shielded from the detectors..."

They are also sold here and they have partners in a lot of countries - so you just might ask them:

I've just ordered one of these:

http://www.alucases.de/catalog/produ...products_id=57

It's just under 20€ (including P&P!) and looks like having exactly the right dimensions (although a bit on the heavy side weighing in at 700g). Probably I'll have to try different sheets of foam in order to get my iLiad bedded softly...

I'll keep you posted about quality and usability of this case.

Cheers,
- Don [:-], who also has some darts lying around, just in case the case doesn't fit the iLiad...

700g is heavy! My homeway is 300m up the hill with a bike every day

Ah, but you have to look at the complete system weight: you + clothing + bike + water bottle + rucksack + iliad. A few hundred grammes more or less shouldn't make any noticeable difference there...

Cheers,
- Don [:-]

I've found this one:

Looks a little bit like a bazooka case, but i guess it will pay the bills so to speak.

A bit like a tractor seat on a carbon fibre bicycle I think.
