Macdonell, A. G.: The Shakespeare Murders (1933), v1

A G Macdonell, 1895-1941

Best known for his gently humorous "England, Their England", already in this Library, Macdonnell also wrote six crime novels under the name "Neil Gordon". This is one of them.

The tale involves a famous (or rather infamous) crook known as The Duke, a very dodgy art dealer, and what just may be an entire page, in Shakespeare's own hand, of one of his plays.

(I created the cover, with one of my own photos taken in England so long ago it's on Kodak film. No prizes for identifying the location.)
