Libby problems
My library like many are going to force me to go to Libby. I have it on my Samsung Tablet A. After finishing a chapter I may have to scroll thru many blank pages (can be up to 15 or so) to get to the next one. I put Overdrive back on it and no problems. Does any one know how to correct the problem with Libby?

I tried Libby today. The title I was listening to was downloaded to my phone. But then it stopped playing, whining that it lost internet connection. I was SO mad. I'll go back to downloading library audio and listening through Smart AudioBook player.

You can download audiobooks with Libby. I do it when I listen to audiobooks I get from Overdrive.

Yes the icon showed it as being downloaded. But after my lunch break when I went to restart, it insisted on connecting, which I couldn't do. (Was listening at work). Audible tries the same shenanigans, although eventually it will give up and open the book. It's irritating. Smart Audio doesn't do any of that, but I rarely if ever have the table of contents in that app, so I never know when the chapter is going to end.
If anyone knows of a good program with TOC, share! |

And because it's never happened to you, it can't have happened to anyone? booklover6 has said and repeated that she downloaded the book. I personally am sticking with the OverDrive app until the last possible moment so I can't speak to Libby issues; however, I've had the same experience with the Hoopla app and audiobooks. Not always, and not even often, but when it does happen it's infuriating -- especially as it only happens when you aren't connected to the internet and can't address the problem.

It's probably some weird DRM or related type check these companies do. This also happens randomly with my downloaded Spotify playlists on a spare phone if I leave internet off too long on that device. It will randomly delete or not play downloads unless I connect to an internet connection to check my account out (am a premium member). The Libby app may be doing the same or similar, which I can see be an annoying issue. If it's sending out a check of some kind behind the scenes to verify loan is still valid or whatever, sometimes this causes downloads to not work until you reconnect to the internet. Weird since the file is technically "downloaded", but I have seen with other programs this happens somewhere in their coding even if you don't turn cell data or internet connection on.
