KePub Output vs KoboTouchExtended
Hello!
I'm currently using KePub Output plugin to convert my ePub files for my Kobo device using Calibre. I've come across the KoboTouchExtended plugin online, and I'm curious to know the difference and if there are any advantages to using it. Thank you! |

For the most part, the Kobo Touch Extended driver converts on the fly so you don't need to keep a copy of the .kepub in your library.
On yet another hand, my personal preference is to use the external kepubify tool to convert to kepub. |

It's faster and it allows me the opportunity to check the ebook before sending it to my ereaders. OTOH, the only books I send as kepub are those that have images such as maps with high enough resolution to make it work zooming in on them and those are few enough that I have never bothered to automate the process of selecting to send epub or kepub.

I'm not sure sure what OS you are using (and I don't think it matters), but for Windows, you don't need to load it into Calibre; a simple copy and paste, or cut and paste, or use the command line. If you need help with this, just ask.

And then you won't get the full details. You'll still need calibre.
