Cybook Orizon
Bookeen hat auf der CES das Cybook Orizon vorgestellt. Es handelt sich dabei um ein 6'' Gerät mit kapazitivem Touchscreen, WLAN, Bluetooth und 2GB internem Speicher.

Bei der Formatunterstützung gab es keine Überraschungen: Epub & PDF (mit ADEPT-Unterstützung) sowie FB2, HTML und TXT.

Der US-Preis liegt bei soll bei 249 USD liegen und angekündigter Erscheinungstermin ist Juni 2010.

Wenn Bookeen jetzt noch ein bisschen über ihren Schatten springen und Kundenwünsche respektiert, könnte das ein sehr vielversprechendes Gerät werden

PS: Der Orizon scheint ePub-Metadaten lesen zu können - es gibt also noch Hoffnung am Orizont

Was ich ebenfalls interessant finde ist, dass der Spiegelungseffekt trotz Touchscreen relativ gering zu sein scheint.

Selbst wenn es sich als Ente herausstellen sollte und es sich entgegen der Ankündigung um einen resistiven Tochscreen handelt, wäre das Orizon trotzdem ein sehr interessantes Gerät.

Klingt absolut interessant, gerade auch für den genannten Dollarpreis. Bin nur mittlerweile doch ein wenig zu 'Bookeen-geschädigt', um richtige Euphorie aufzubringen...

Hier gibt es bessere Bilder.

Es ist ein Sipix Display mit InCell Touchscreen. Das Orizon hat trotz Touchscreen kaum Spiegelungen und augenscheinlich Potential dem Kindle2, PocketBook 302/602, dem neuen BeBook Neo sowie dem originalen Onyx Boox hier in Europa eine richtig harte Konkurrenz zu bescheren. (txtr reader lass ich jetzt mal weg ) Allerdings sind die anderen bereits verfügbar oder werden es in den nächsten Wochen sein - das Orizon ist für Juni angekündigt. Bookeens (Nicht-)Einhalten bisheriger Terminansagen brauche ich ja leider wohl nicht mehr weiter zu kommentieren...

Jetzt steht also nur noch Bookeen selbst zwischen sich und dem Erfolg.

Macht wirklichen einen guten Eindruck. Auf allen Medien, die ich sehen konnte, war kaum Spiegelung wahrzunehmen. Da bin ich mal gespannt. Erst recht bei diesem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Was ist Txtr??^^
