Calibre 2.83.0 icons

Hi - this is my first post, so please bear with me. Has anybody had problems with the size or choice of icons? I have been into the preferences window to change the icons back to classic and their size to small, but they still remain the same. Am I missing something?

Somewhere

(it is not in Look and feel) in Calibre, there was support added for newer HiRes displays. Maybe that is set (when it should not be).

One of my working synapses is suggesting an Environment Variable, but its not in manual, it also suggests it could be fixed in calibre 3.0 which will use a more recent version of the Qt library - hence the need for an EnvVar will be moot.

But, that synapse may be misremembering - as it often does
