Calibre doesn't seem to support 125% scaling

Background & Settings
I'm using windows 10 and I have two monitors with different resolutions and scaling:
  • A: 1440p with 150% scaling factor
  • B: 1080P with 125% scaling factor
I keep this setting to default: preferences > look & feel > main interface > adjust for high resolution screen: automatic.

Problem
All Calibre windows (main window, viewer, editor, preferences, etc.) show different scales on two monitors, larger on the 150% scaling screen, and smaller on the 125% scaling screen.

Possible reason
I made some experiments and found that Calibre doesn't support 125% scaling factor, as it treats a 125% screen same as 100%.

Suggestion
I'm propose a new feature, making Calibre support 125% scaling factor, in a future release.

calibre doesnt do scaling, Qt the graphics toolkit calibre uses does. You will need to add support for it there, not in calibre.

Switching between Paged mode and Flow mode is not possible via either Settings nor via shortcut (ctrl+m) when Windows scaling is 150%. On 125% scaling everything is fine.

Monitor 2560x1440, Calibre 7.8, Win10

Guess that's not a QT bug but a bug in calibre itself then.

My laptop screen is 2560x1440 and I have Windows 11 at 125% scale. All versions of calibre 7 work without a problem.

Also with external 2560x1440 16″ USB-C/HDMI screen on Linux Mint on Laptop or Raspberry Pi4b Ubuntu the Calibre is fine.

Could you try 150%? And then try to switch?
Thx

The problem could be that you are using two different scaling amounts. I suggest trying 125% or 150% on both monitors.

Single ThinkPad here (no external monitors). Just updated to newest Intel HD driver. Problem still there.

Odd. I'm using a Thinkpad connected to it's internal display and an external display both with 125% scaling and I'm seeing no issues (the internal is using the Intel driver, the external uses the NVidia driver).

As a last resort, I suggest disabling Qt scaling and see if that helps

Could you double check?

Today I stumbled upon this option in MultiCommander file manager. Not sure if it is open-source and if this setting can be implemented in Calibre, since Calibre is cross-platform and depends on Qt:

(also, can't tell if this option would address the OP's issue)

I tried setting the internal display to 150% and switching between paged and flow mode worked. I then switched the external monitor to 150% and, you guessed it, they still worked. Even with both displays at 150%, no issues other my screens seeming so low resolution.

One item that I haven;t seen mentioned is if you have updated your video driver(s).
