This plugin has been created to download metadata and cover image from Moly.hu.

I must give credits to the original author, Daermond for making and publishing the initial plugin, but sadly he had abandoned it, so here I am taking over and fixing the errors that have popped up since.

Also, a big thumbs up for kiwidude, for sorting things out for me.

The rar files must be unzipped and the zip files inside copied to the Calibre Settings/plugins folder.

Shows multiple results if possible (3 by default)
Search based on ISBN if present, otherwise based on title and/or author
Downloads multiple cover images if possible (5 by default)

Special Notes:

Requires Calibre 0.8 or later.

Installation Notes:

Download the attached zip file and install the plugin as described in the Introduction to plugins thread.
Note that this is not a GUI plugin so it is not intended/cannot be added to context menus/toolbars etc.

Hi,

the plugin works correctly except for some small things:
1. It capitalizes all the words in the title, so not according to the Hungarian grammar.
2. The publisher and the publishing year is not parsed/downloaded actually, so those doesn't appear in the metadata.
3. Is it possible to parse the summary of the book? Would be really good

Sorry i'm kinda late, but have corrected all of those in the new build. On a sidenote, what u mean by summary is basically called comments in calibre.

Hi kloon,

I use the plugin frequently, ad I am really happy with it.
I have only one suggestion, regarding the cover download.

Is it possible, to download the "big" cover, of a book if it exists?

Szia! Nem tudom, hogy foglalkozol-e még a Moly.hu plug-innel, de ha igen, akkor szeretném kérni, hogy javítsd azt a hibát, hogy ha nem normál betűtípussal van valami írva a Molyon, akkor azt a plug-in kihagyja a könyvek leírásából. Dölt betűt, linkeket, stb.

If i use plug-in, than all not-normal text is missing in book's description. (Italic, bold, etc. And all links.) Can you fix this problem?

This plugin hasn't been working for months now. Doesn't download and doesn't find anything on moly.hu, even if the books are there. Could you please check?

Hi All,

Search was too wide, it found a lot of irrelevant books. I fixed this, now it filters only to relevant title and author. See attached the version 1.0.5. I also put the code to the github.

Hi! there is the possibility that the plugin will read the original page numbering of the book and be interested in not downloading the ISBN if I do not want it. Thank you in advance for your answer!

látom nem sűrűn jár erre a fejlesztő, de azért jelzem: már több könyvnél is találkoztam azzal a hibával, hogy a molyon megtalálható könyvet a plugin nem találja meg. még akkor sem, ha a molyról kimásolom a címet és a szerzőt! arról már nem is beszélek, hogy ha csak egy aprócska elütés van a címben vagy a szerző nevében, akkor meg szinte reménytelen rátalálni a könyvre. a legegyszerűbb kereső is jobb találatot ad egy hibás keresésre. de azért le a kalappal! még így is nagy segítség a plugin! (Y) viszont megköszönném a javítást!
