Ploter - Your books everywhere
We've been working on Ploter for a little while now and thought that it's time to share.
Ploter is a cloud library for all of the audiobooks and ebooks you own. You upload once and read everywhere with automatic progress syncing between devices. Core features:
We've been working hard on Ploter and we hope you like it as much as we do. We aren't ready to launch just yet but any feedback is welcome here or on our email address. Thank you all! Ploter Team |

Are we sure this is not just a scam?
The website does not do anything. You can just give them your name and e-mail adress "to stay up to date", whatever that means... (Tried it with a burner mail, did not recieve any reply.) Some of those claims sound fantastic. I doubt you can implement a third-party cloud service on Kobo or Kindle devices (without Kobo's or Amazon's consent), since they are closed systems. |

We're definitely not a scam. We are still working on the product so we don't have anything to show just yet.
The website is meant to present our current plans and also to gather some feedback which we can use to guide our efforts. We are inviting people to provide an email address where we can send updates as we work on the rollout in the coming weeks and months. With regards to ereaders, we are currently focusing on Kobo which is a much more open system and does allow for custom software to be installed and for syncing to happen over the air. Kindle as you said is very much a closed system where we cannot install any software but we can provide a sync-through-USB-cable type of solution. |

Happy New Year Everyone!
There have been quite a few changes to Ploter since my last post so I thought this thread is overdue for an update. Here is a quick summary: - Fully redesigned epub reader using page breaks. - Reading progress is now synced with the Ploter cloud. - Seamlessly switch between all of your devices - your whole library and reading progress is now synced between all of your Android, Windows and Kobo devices. - Multiple performance and stability improvements. Latest version of Ploter apps are available from Google Play and Microsoft Store. Instructions on how to setup the Ploter Sync for Kobo are available on our blog. Any feedback is more than welcome here or on our subreddit. |

@vorte, You mentioned Kobo in the first post of this thread. How would I get Ploter to work with my Kobo Libra 2?

It seems to be really an App on Windows, not actually the Kobo.
Pointless. Especially if you don't use Windows. I use Calibre to sync everything. No potential 3rd parties, no internet needed. |

I never said that Ploter is a Kobo app.
A better way to think about it is as an Android and Windows (and soon iOS and MacOS) app which integrates with Kobo. |

So I have to have my computer to do the sync. That won't do.

You need a computer to do the initial setup (first time only). After that the sync to kobo is wireless.

Thank you all for taking part in the Ploter Early Access programme. We are now asking for some feedback to help direct our future efforts in taking Ploter to the next level.
You can provide feedback by filling out our very short Reading Habits survey. This should only take around 3 minutes to complete. We appreciate your help in improving Ploter! |
