Jacobs, Joseph: The Story of Geographical Discovery. 02 Jan 2008
The Story of Geographical Discovery or "How the World Became Known" is a departure from Jacobs' more known fare of fairy stories. It is an impressive work for the era. It traces the full span of the development of exploration from the earliest recorded map to the last part of the 19th century. It is an interesting read that I almost missed as it was not another fairy story.
