No Local Public Library. Overdrive/Libby Possible?
Probably the wrong place for this, but I don't know of a better one. We've recently moved to a rural area where we don't have a local public library (at least a free one). Is there some way to use Overdrive/Libby without that local library card? I'm assuming our library cards from where we used to live will disappear at some point.

You do need a valid library card to access Overdrive/Libby.
Does the county/whatever you live in have access to a library? Where one friend of mine lives, they have access to a library which is about 160K away from them. Or you might want to join one of the libraries that allows remote membership for an annual fee. |

As you mentioned, my "local" library would charge an annual fee for us to get a library card from them. But, I found that we qualify for the DoD MWR Libraries and signed up there. That can be used with Libby/Overdrive.
