No Local Public Library. Overdrive/Libby Possible?

Probably the wrong place for this, but I don't know of a better one. We've recently moved to a rural area where we don't have a local public library (at least a free one). Is there some way to use Overdrive/Libby without that local library card? I'm assuming our library cards from where we used to live will disappear at some point.

You do need a valid library card to access Overdrive/Libby.

Does the county/whatever you live in have access to a library? Where one friend of mine lives, they have access to a library which is about 160K away from them. Or you might want to join one of the libraries that allows remote membership for an annual fee.

As you mentioned, my "local" library would charge an annual fee for us to get a library card from them. But, I found that we qualify for the DoD MWR Libraries and signed up there. That can be used with Libby/Overdrive.
