Can't input text on some websites (K3)

When I visit wapedia.mobi or the mobile version of the Gutenberg Project, I can't input any text on the search box. The same goes for the sign in boxes at mobileread.mobi.

m.feedbooks.com works like a charm, on the other hand...

what might be going on, fellas?

This seems to be a problem with the Kindle 3 browser.

This was also happening with safaribooksonline.com but O'Reilly has fixed it.

According to O'Reilly, the problem is that K3's browser "does not accept XHTML or XML input".

Which is strange, if the previous browser did...

There has been some discussion that this problem only occurred after people's K3s were updated to version 3.01 . Not sure if this was 100% verified, but some folks are sure it worked before the update.

cheers
