Redundant Preferences entry in macOS menubar

The Preferences item already appears in the main Calibre dropdown menu. But Calibre stubbornly refuses to allow Preferences to appear as a second item in the menubar :/

So you went into Preferences => Toolbars and menus => selected the Main toolbar on the dropdown, selected Preferences in the left hand box and clicked on > to send it to the Main toolbar and then clicked on Apply and closed out Preferences?

See attached images from doing this using MacOS Ventura 13.4 running in a VM though I doubt that using a VM had any effect on calibre's configuration process.
