Errors after resaturating the image on a new MicroSD card

Hello,

Here I still have problems, after recording the image on the Kobo Aura Edition 2 V1 everything seemed to go well until I plug it into the computer to pass the books and Windows gives a message that the USB device is not recognized, going deeper into the error I go to the device manager and I see an error related to the USB port where the Kobo is plugged that said error in the security descriptor...

After this error I started to put the books taking out the MicroSD and connecting it to the computer, to my surprise the Kobo did not recognize the books that I put (books that before the SD was damaged I had).

I have also noticed in the information about the Kobo device that it does not have a correct serial number, it appeared something like N360000000000.

Let's see if someone can help me with these problems

Thanks,
Regards

The serial number is found in the image at 0x200. It is zeroed since the image does not know what the serial number of your Kobo is. You can edit the image to place your serial number in the image before imaging but no one has mentioned any issues with having the zeroed serial number.

As for the USB error, try connecting your Kobo and then deleting the bad descriptor. You can use NirSoft's USBDeView to do this as well as Windows Device Manager.

Depending on where you put the books, they will not be recognized. I would suggest a dedicated directory in the root of the exposed partition to place the ebooks into.

Hello,

Finally everything is working, the problem was the cable, I changed it and everything worked.

I left the serial number as it is all at 0.

Greetings
Thanks
