Is it a price drop or a sale? Just wondering how long it will last if its a sale.

Thanks
Thanks so much for this post! I had purchased the Kobo clara hd yesterday on Walmart.com for $129.99. When I saw your post I contacted customer service and got a price adjustment.
I never would have checked for a price drop today. Thanks Again |

It's interesting--the Wal-Mart customer ratings for the Clara, Aura H20, and Aura One all hover around the 4.5-star level. That can't be due to features, because each model up has more and/or better of those. Why do you suppose that there is so little difference in ratings, but so much in features and price?
This is not an academic exercise. I am considering purchasing a decent ereader. However, I am a bargain-Hunter, also, and want to get the "biggest bang for the buck." |

Walmart has four of the five Kobos in stock. (Now missing the Aura – maybe they sold them out at $50?) The Clara is still on sale $110, the H2O – on sale – is still $160. The Kobo Aura ONE is $230 but there's a discount if you pick it up at the store. And the Forma is now $270 instead of $280 (but there's no longer a pickup discount, so it's probably actually more expensive now, unless you're having shipped directly to your home). What's funny is that they don't claim this is a sale price, it appears this is new "regular" price for the Forma.
If you go to – https://www.walmart.com/kobo – you don't see Kobo Aura ONE, you have to do a search in the regular Walmart search area. Clara link ($110). https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kobo-Clar...bled/848940265 H2O link ($160 NOW BACK TO $180 but with "pickup discount" again). https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kobo-Aura...bled/728720614 Aura ONE link ($230, but eligible for "pickup discount"). https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kobo-Aura...bled/581680587 Forma link (now $270 instead of $280). https://www.walmart.com/ip/All-new-K...reen/274436858 Last edited by rcentros; 12-04-2018 at 04:08 PM. |

Also, not everyone wants a larger screen. Having the same features on a larger device does not mage the larger device better. When they introduce a Clara that is waterproof (I'm guessing it'll be their next 6" I would prefer that over the H2O and if I were writing a review, I would rate accordingly. |

Maybe Walmart IS serious about competing with Amazon.
