Outlook.com authentication fails
Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong sub-forum.

I've been using an outlook.com email account to send fetched news to my Kindle. MS today changed its authentication requirements resulting in Calibre error "Authentication unsuccessful, basic authentication is disabled."

Would really appreciate any guidance how to continue using this email account with Calibre.

You cant, you have to switch to another email provider. Usually GMX. Just create a free account just for use with calibre.

Thank you. Will look into GMX. Also it looks like Yahoo will work once one generates a "device password."

Under Settings => Email => POP3 & IMAP => Read your GMX e-mails via POP3 & IMAP, did you check the enable access to this account box?
