Sigil-1.3.0 Released
Sigil-1.3.0
Sigil-1.3.0 represents a mix of bug fixes and new features for both epub2 and epub3 users. Windows users please note that the installer will now allow Sigil to be installed for the current user only if desired. The installation of the included Visual Studio C++ runtime, however, will always require administrative privileges. You can provide those credentials for the runtime install portion only (if you install Sigil for the current user). The user can also skip the runtime check/install entirely if they desire. If they do so, however, it will be up to them (or their administrator) to make sure the proper Visual Studio C++ runtime is installed. Because of these changes, it recommended that Windows users uninstall the previous version of Sigil before installing this one. No settings, preferences, or plugins (or their configurations) will be lost by doing so. New Features (since the 1.2.0 release):
Bug Fixes (since the 1.2.0 release):
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please check the Sigil Wiki for important Sigil support links, additional resource downloads, and platform-specific trouble-shooting tips/requirements. Mac users should still download and install ActiveState's ActiveTcl Community Edition to utilize plugins that use Tk/Tcl GUIs. More here. Mac users should also check out the wiki entry on the New Release File Format The latest Sigil user guide can always be downloaded from its own repository. PGP Fingerprint **The binary downloads (and source) can be found as assets at the bottom of The Sigil Github Release page. |

I promised that I would do at least one newer Windows 32-bit Sigil build, and I've fulfilled my obligation. Tell all your 32-bit friends that Sigil 1.3.0 has a 32-bit binary installer that can be downloaded.
Just don't get too used to this happening. https://github.com/Sigil-Ebook/Sigil/releases/tag/1.3.0 It's the Window Setup file that doesn't have an 'x64' in the file name, in case there's any confusion. Last edited by DiapDealer; 07-26-2020 at 12:04 PM. |

"Added FontTab"...
Yes, YES Putain, YES!!! Thank you very much. It was for me the last missing feature for perfection. Well on the way, we lost BookView, but it was a bad for a good (too bugy, is unstable, it pulls Sigil to the down) I still dream of seeing a new WYSIWYG mode (basic and very limited to simple text editing), BUT it would require a huge amount of creative work, for a secondary functionality, not to say optional for those who know how to fully use Sigil (and therefore absolutely not a priority). Small bug: When I "Mark the selected text for inclusion in the Index" without selected text, Sigil uses 2 tags <a> (1 class, 1 title) <a class="sigil_index_marker"><a title="intdex-1"></a> |

A huge thank you for a very nice tool, for all the hard work, and for all the time you have spent developing this software.

In epub3 item/Navi.xhtml
Spine does not have navi.xhtml. On sigil, navi is displayed in the text folder. In this state, I Add Blank HTML file in text folder , navi.xhtml will be automatically added to spine. Is it possible to fix this error? And if possible, I would like you to change navi so that it is displayed in the correct position. Thank you for your support |

There is no "correct position" for the nav. Typically then nav in epub3 is a machine parseable replacement for the epub2 NCX plus some extras. It is typically added to the spine with the linear attribute set to "no".
If you want a user TOC and do not want to use the existing nav, then create an xhtml TOC and use that. Then as explained earlier, simply use drag and drop in the BookBrowser window to determine where in the spine it is shown. |
